Thai Iced Tea Smoothie
Garbanzo Beans become sweet lemon-black tea “boba” and add to the silky texture in this refreshing version of a Thai favorite made with black tea, turmeric and sweetened condensed milk.

Smoothie
- 6.75 cups Bush's® Best® Garbanzo Beans, Drained, Rinsed
- 6.75 quarts Black Tea, Strongly Brewed
- 3 Tbsp Turmeric
- 4.5 cups Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1.25 quarts Ice
- 54 Straw Spoons or Boba Straws

- 6.75 cups Bush's® Best® Garbanzo Beans, Chilled, Drained, Rinsed
- 4.5 cups Lemon Juice
- 1.25 cups Agave Syrup
- 4.5 cups Brewed Black Tea, Unsweetened

Bean "Boba"
- 6.75 cups Bush's® Best® Garbanzo Beans, Chilled, Drained, Rinsed
- 4.5 cups Lemon Juice
- 1.25 cups Agave Syrup
- 4.5 cups Brewed Black Tea, Unsweetened
DIRECTIONS
- SMOOTHIE: Combine all ingredients in the jar of a high-speed blender. For larger yield recipe, divide ingredients into batches or use 64-oz. blender jar. Begin on low speed gradually increasing to high speed and then blending for 1 minute or until smooth and creamy. Reserve chilled.
- BEAN "BOBA": In a mixing bowl, whisk together lemon juice, agave syrup and brewed black tea until well incorporated. Add garbanzo beans to a plastic container. Pour agave syrup tea mixture over beans until submerged. Cover and refrigerate overnight before serving.
- PRESENTATION: For one serving, place 2 Tbsp bean “boba” into the bottom of an 8-oz. cup. Pour 1 cup Thai Iced Tea Smoothie over the “boba” and serve with a straw spoon or boba straw.
