  • 1.5 cups Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1.5 cups Ketchup
  • .75 cup Yellow Mustard
  • 3 lb Smoked Pork Shoulder, Pulled, Prepared
  • 1.5 cups Pepperoncini peppers, Thinly sliced

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 cups Vegetable Oil
  • 30 oz Applewood Smoked Bacon, ½-inch Diced
  • 3 Qt Yellow Onion, ¼-inch Diced
  • 1.5 cups Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 3 Qt Tomato Sauce, Prepared
  • 1.5 cups Ketchup
  • .75 cup Yellow Mustard
  • 3 lb Smoked Pork Shoulder, Pulled, Prepared
  • 1.5 cups Pepperoncini peppers, Thinly sliced
  • 2.25 Qt Bush’s Best® Easy Entrées® Texas Ranchero® Pinto Beans, Drained
  • 2 Tbsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 2.25 Qt Carolina BBQ Sauce, Prepared
  • 33 Cornmeal-Dusted Fried Green Tomato Slices, 1/2 in. Slice, Prepared, Reserved Warm

DIRECTIONS

  1. Add vegetable oil to a large pot or rondeau set over medium heat. Add bacon and render for 7 minutes, stirring periodically.
  2. Add yellow onion and sauté for 5 minutes or until onions are translucent. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  3. Stir in apple cider vinegar, tomato sauce, ketchup, and mustard and mix well. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Bring to a simmer over medium high heat.
  4. Once at a simmer, reduce the heat to medium. Add pulled pork, pepperoncini peppers, and beans. Mix well. Add salt and pepper.
  5. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring periodically. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  6. For one serving, top 1 cup of chili with 1 Tbsp Carolina BBQ sauce. Garnish with a fried green tomato slice before serving.
